Highlights
Moscow: Tsar Cannon and Tsar Bell
The Tsar Cannon is the oldest and largest cannon in the world. The huge gun weighs 40 tons and is over 5 meters in length. The Tsar Cannon that was made to defend the Kremlin in time of war actually never fired. Another sight of the Moscow Kremlin is the Tsar Bell cast in 1733-1735 by Russian masters. Nowadays the bell is installed near the Bell-Tower of Ivan the Great.


St. Petersburg: Peter and Paul Fortress
The Peter and Paul Fortress, located in the historical part of St. Petersburg, is one of the main city's highlights. The fortress, founded in 1703 to protect the Neva lands from Swedes, was the first building of the new city. The cathedral of Saint Peter and Paul that is a burial vault of the Romanovs and it's extremely popular with the tourists from all over the world.


Uglitch
Uglitch, located on the right bank of the Volga River, is most known for one of the most mysterious events in the Russian history - the death of Dmitry Ivanovich, the youngest son of Ivan the Terrible. For the first time this secluded nook was mentioned in the historic chronicles in 1148. Nowadays the town attracts the tourist from the whole Russia with its genuine architecture.
