The Marco Polo Presnja Hotel is a small 4-star hotel located in the silence of the Patriarshy Ponds in the heart of Moscow, combines the European service of the high standard and Russian hospitality. For many years the entrance to the hotel was closed to the public: the hotel was "the house for the elite". Before the revolution the building served for London's governesses and then for professors staff of Moscow State University who stayed and worked here. After the war, this building became a stiff hotel with the prestigious restaurant for the members of the Soviet Government and obviously, the doors of this building were closed for the rest people. And just at the beginning of the 90-s an Austrian firm turned this house into one of the finest hotels in Moscow which, in fact, became quite a different hotel in terms of equipment and services. Today the hotel is called "Marco Polo" and proud to be rated a 4-star hotel with new stylish furniture, refined interiors, the most up-to-date fire-fighting equipment and reliable security system.
