Kronshtadt

Kronshtadt is a city on the island of the Baltic Sea and forms another quarter of Saint Peterburg. The island is adapted by the Saint Petersburg Flood Prevention Facility Complex. 1703 the tsar Peter l. founded this city to serve as a naval base. The city got famous for the sailor riots in 1905/1906. During the Second World War, it protected Saint Petersburg from the "German Wehrmacht".
