Kivach nature reserve is named after its main site: the waterfall edged by the diabasic cliffs. The height of the waterfall is almost eleven meters and the view is naturally impressive.
The reserve's territory also includes the arboretum, created in 1948. It has forty-three tree species, including the famous Karelian birch.
