Stolby Nature Reserve is a nature reserve 10 kilometers from Krasnoyarsk. Its name 'Stolby' means 'Pillars' in Russian and the reason is the rock complexes, open for hikers. More than 200,000 tourists come to Stolby annually to enjoy more than 47 hectares of unique flora and fauna: more than ten rare species are included in the Red Book of Russia. 

The reserve is divided into three main areas: Takmakovskiy district, located in the Bazaikha river valley; it is suitable for the beginning hikers who are eager for small walks; Central Pillars, a more distant district with high rocks; the most famous stones are Blue Coils and Stovepipe; Wild pillars, the most distant area which includes rocks that are not accessible for tourists.
