The Kremlin was built in 1044 by order of Prince Jaroslav the Wise. It stands approximately 10 meters over the river Wolchow and is surrounded by a wall with the length of 1487 metres. It once had 12 towers but now only 9 of them still exist. The particular characteristic of the Kremlin are the many churches on the area. The architecture represents the style of the 15th century. The whole area around the Kremlin is very well-kept and has a lot of green places. From the bastions you will have a wonderful view over the whole city.
